FORBIDDEN acts against the Quran.
It is a great crime if one deliberately omits or adds a word or a letter in the Quran. That person will become a Murtadd. (na u thu billahi min ha).
It is haram to touch or bear the Quran if one is not in a state of wudhu, when one is going to recite.
It is wajib to free the Quran, if it is in the hands of a kafir, or in danger of being destroyed, or in the filth.
It is haram to cast the Quran into mucus or saliva and to turn the pages of the Quran with fingers wet with spittle unless you are sure that the spittle will not stick to the Quran.
It is makruh to write Quranic verses on walls and clothings and to cast into fire the leaves of the Quran.
It is praiseworthy to dissolve them in water.
It is haram to stretch one’s feet in the direction of the Quran unless the Quran is placed at a height.
Tearing up the Quran is haram and one who does it wickedly becomes a Murtadd. (na u thu billahi min ha).
It is haram to use the Quran as a pillow unless there is fear of being stolen.
