2] MALAIKATH
Angels
Allah created His Angels from LIGHT without mixing any of the five elements.
They are neither male nor female.
They possess wings in pairs of two, three and four.
Their food and drink is:
Tasbih [glorifying Allah] – Subhanallah
Tahmid [praising Allah] – Alhamdulillah
Takbir [extolling Allah] – Allahu Akbar
Tahlil [unifying Allah] – La I Laa Ha IL LaL Lah
Their numbers and excellence are known only to Allah.
Their duty is to obey all of Allah’s command without fail.
They have ranks and the highest is to bring Allah’s message to HIS Rasuls.
They live in all the regions ie above and below us.
They descend upon the earth by day and night.
They bring Allah’s Mercy and Grace to us but where there are dogs and pigs and uncleanliness,
the Angels will not come.
They bear Allah’s ‘Arsh’ ie the Throne of Allah.
They have duties in Heaven and Hell.
They live in the oceans, mountains, deserts and shores.
They come to mosques and places where Allah is mentioned.
They come to assemblies where congregational Prayers, Zikrs, sermons and classes on religious
studies are conducted.
They are present during the Hajj pilgrimage.
They are also assigned the duty to convey the pronouncements of Salawats on our Prophet (SAW).
The highest in dignity is Angel Jibril (AS) – brings Allah’s message.
Angel Mika’il (AS) – guardian of all water.
Angel Israfil (AS) – guardian of all air.
Angel Izrail (AS) – the taker of all souls – Malaikal Maut.
Angel Riduan (AS) - guardian of heaven
