Assalamu Alaykum Wr. Wb.
Allahumma salli ‘alah Sayyiddina Muhammadiw Wa ‘alah Ahlihi Wa Sahbihi Wa Baarik Wa Sallim.
A real incident that happened during our Blessed Umrah pilgrimage in the year 2006.
I would like to humbly share my extra ordinary experience that happened during our Umrah pilgrimage trip to Mecca and Madinah.
My spouse, son and I were blessed to enjoin with both my parents mum and dad (Al Marhum) together with my younger brother and his spouse with some of our close friends and relatives to travel to Mecca and Al Medina for our first ever blessed Umrah pilgrimage in the year 2006.
During one of the sunnah Tawaaf after the daily prayers, my close friend’s son by the name Ameen approached me one day and requested whether can he tawaaf the Ka’aba with me so that he could get close to the Ka’aba and kiss the “AL HAJAR AL ASWAD” the Blessed “black” stone which is part of the Ka’aba tullah.
By the grace of Allah S.W.T. and the Blessing of Beloved Rasulullaahi Salallaahu Alayhi Wassallam my son and I managed to kiss it a day earlier once with the help of my close friend Brother Ahmad.
So I advice him it wasn’t as easy as said and done as the crowds around the Ka’aba will be very huge and unfortunately very unruly. In Shaa Allah, with guidance of Allahu Subhanalaahu Ta’ala and the with Blessing of our Beloved Rasulullaahi Salallaahu Alayhe Wa Sallam will try my level best to guide you.
However, before we proceeded I laid some conditions that he needed to follow through:
-
Salatul Hajat with sincere intention that you want to kiss the “AJAR ASWAD” after the ritual tawaf.
-
Recite abundance salawats upon our beloved Rasulullaahi Salallaahu Alayhi Wassallam.
-
To be strong & steadfast in your intention and very importantly be patience in what ever situation we are faced and lastly not to lose hope.
He humbly agreed and we were on our way towards the Holy Ka’aba. After our salatul hajat, I supplicated to Allah S.W.T. through our beloved Rasulullaahi Salallaahu Alayhi Wassallam to guide us throughout the tawafs and help us to reach our goal that is to kiss the blessed “hajar aswad”.
I hold my friend’s son’s hand firmly and lead him towards the Ka’aba into our ritual tawafs around the Ka’aba.
Once completing our 7th tawaf we slowly edged closer towards the Ka’aba wall that was nearest to the “hajar aswad”.
We finally managed to reach the side of the wall of Ka’aba which was closer to the “hajar aswad” with some struggle and gradually enjoining with the rest of peoples who were already gathered there for the same purpose like us.
While we were slowly and steadily edging towards it, ahead of me was an very old fragile man, suddenly from nowhere a huge man about almost 7 foot plus tall, heavy built, dressed in a uniquely casual attire long shirt and pant appeared in front of the old man and humbly requested whether he can join in the queue. But, the old man quickly shuns him off by waving his hands at him without saying any word.
The huge man than approached me and asked me. I looked at him and notice something different about him, especially his huge built and shine in his face, and I humbly allowed him to join us.
He happily accepted it and joins us in our queue. He then started conversing with me in Arabic which I happen to know a bit thanks to my Arabic classes which I attend for about 3 years.
He asked me where I was from and what was my name? For which I replied from Singapore & my name is Mohamed Ayub bin Mohamed Kassim after that I asked him back where is he from?
He answered, he was from Baghdad, and then I said that is the Blessed place where Sultanul Awliyah Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jilani (R.A.) was born and I intend to visit one day.
Immediately he became so happy that I’ve mentioned the Awliyah name there, he quickly lifted me by holding my both arms by the side and started to braise me against the “Kiswa” of Ka’aba (the draped that covers the whole of Kaaba) like a doll in his hands.
My friend’s son, Ameen became so frighten and was worried for my safety that the huge man who was about 7 to 8 feet tall and built big like a wrestler would harm me.
I assured him not to worry and started back with our conversations. He then asked me whether I want to kiss the “hajar aswad”? I said most definitely yes and he said not to worry, I shall take you there.
Finally we managed to reach at the spot where the “hajar aswad “was located. However, the old man who was ahead of us was not as so fortunate enough to kiss the “black stone”, he was bundled up like a ball and carried off by the huge crowds that were gathered there.
Then our turn came and this huge man from Baghdad kissed it first and after that he pushed the crowd gather at his right side first and then with his huge left arm, pushed the crowd that were gathered beside me, he then slowly embraced me with both his hands and body slowly pushed me towards the exact place of the “hajar aswad” was. I humbly and slowly lowered my whole face and kissed it to my full heartfelt.
The moment I lowered my whole face into it, I felt as if like a vacuum being suck and I felt complete ease with no sound or commotions at all and felt like as if I can go even deeper and was into a different world. I was not sure how long I was there but, it felt as though I was in it for hours and most importantly my heart was at ease and didn’t feel anything at all total submission.
And then suddenly I felt someone pulling me out and slowly all the noises and commotions gathered in hundreds of thousands and thousands of people around me can be heard again.
The huge Baghdadi then embraced me again and I smelt a fragrance that I’ve never smelled before in my life.
He then hold my right hand and lead me like a father guiding a son to the Blessed “imprint foot mark” near the Ka’aba, Maqam Nabi Ibrahim (A.S.) and requested me to perform salat there which I duly did and when I ended my salat with salams and was about to supplicate, to my utter surprise the huge Baghdadi man is nowhere to be seen again.
As I was wandering about this man only then I realized what has happen to my friend’s son Ameen who accompanied me throughout this event and got so worried because I was supposed take care of him and supplicated to Allah there and then, immediately I was shown where he was exactly among the hundreds of thousands and thousands of people in Kaaba. Maasha Allah.
I quickly got hold him again and enquired what had happened. He said when the huge Baghdadi man pushed the crowd at the left side of me he happened to be there and was separated among other peoples.
He soon realized that he was too far from the “hajar aswad”.
I asked him again did he have any doubts that you may not get to kiss the “hajar aswad”, he sadly said yes.
Anyway I told him to be patience not to give up hope and try again when you are given another opportunity to visit the Holy Kaaba in the near future.
Well what do we learnt from this is that the help rendered by Allah S.W.T. and His Beloved Rasul (S.A.W.S.) to attain my objective of kissing the blessed “hajar aswad” with the assist from this huge man from Baghdad was God send. However, without any doubts was because of the Blessed Salawat that I was reciting through out the whole incident.
It’s the most blessed place in this world where without any doubt help of Allah S.W.T. can come in any forms and sizes.
The Salawat goes like this:
“Wa man Ta kun Bi Rasulillahi Nusratuhu, In Talqahul Usdu Fi Ajamiha Tajimi”
(Whoever whom his victory is with Rasulullah Alaihi Solawatullah… if the lion
faces him in its den, it will fear).
“Ya Rasulallahi Ya Sanadi” [Oh Rasulallah oh my pillar of support]
“Anta Baabullahi Mu’tamadi” [You are the door of Allah, my reliance]
Repeat the above thrice.
“Fa Bi Dunyaa ya Wa Akhirati” [And for my world and my afterworld]
“Ya Rasulallahi Khudh Bi Yadi” [Oh Rasulallah please take my hand].(once)
Wasallam.
