Biography of Our Beloved Mursheed

Sheikh Syed Shah Hasan Mohammed Shamsul Haq Khadri

 

 

Moulana Moulvi Mufti Haji Peer Hazarath Syed Shah Hasan Mohammed Shamsul Haq Khadri 

 

 

 

Hazreth Aarif kamil sufie-ba-safa Hafiz Allama Syed Shah Mohammed Abdul Qadir Iaqaullah Shah Qadri Bagdadi alias Hazrath Lakkad Shah Awlia (Sufi Saint) reached India from Baghdad nearly two hundred years ago. 

 

 

 

Hazrath Lakkad Shah made his settlement in Bangalore. He purchased a piece of land where he built a mosque and his residence in a portion of it. The remaining portion was used for cultivation to make his living. Hazrath Lakkad Shah Awlia was a great saint who was involved in prayer meditation and spiritual preaching throughout his life. He preached the mureeds and oneness of Islam and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) (P.B.U.H.). He was popular for his piety, noble heartedness and immense generosity. He helped the needy and people in distress. He performed miracles (Karamat) by spiritual power achieved by his nobility and integrity. People of various sectors accepted and embraced Islam. The number of disciples multiplied in thousands not only in Bangalore but also throughout India. Hazarath Lakkad Shah Awlia had two sons; one of them expired at a very young age. The other son was Hazrath Allama Hafiz Mufti Syed Shah Mohammed Abdur Rahman Badshah Qadri (R.A.). He was as great as his father. Hazrath Allama Hafiz Mufti Syed Shah Mohammed Abdur Rahman Badshah Qadri (R.A.) had two daughters. They were Hazrat Syeda Bibi Malikunnisa Begum Sahiba Qadsalla-a-Sirraha (Q.S.) and Hazarath Syeda Bibi Noorunnisa Begum Sahiba (Q.S.). 

 

 

 

The first one is the paternal grandmother of Moulana Moulvi Mufti Peer Haji Hazrath Syed Shah Hasan Mohammed Shamsul Haq Qadri (R.A.). She was married to Hazrath Hafiz-o-Qari Qutubul Aqtab Syed Shah Mirsaad Badshah Qadri Al Hasni-Val-Hussaini-Al Baghdadi (R.A.). He arrived in India from Baghdad in about 1889. He was a very great saint who led a simple, pure and pious life, involved in preaching Islam. His nobility and piousness collected lakhs of disciples in India and abroad countries like Arabia, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iraq, Turkey, etc. Many rulers and their queens were his followers and came to him for blessings.  

 

 

 

Hazrath-E-Mousoof Mirsaad (Q.S.A.) had spiritual powers to perform miracles. He had the honour of performing 18 holy Haj pilgrimages. Hazrath-E-Mousoof had two sons. The elder Hazrath Syed Shah Mohammed Noorul Haque Badshah Qadri Hasni-Val-Hussaini (Q.S.A.) spent his life in meditation and died in meditation. His shrine is at Salem in Tamil Nadu. His other son was Hazrath Allama Mufti Syed Shah Mohammed Ameerul Haque BadshahQadri Al Hasan-Val-Hussaini (Q.S.A.). He was a great Shaik-e-Tariqat of his times. Moulana Moulvi Mufti Peer Haji Hazrath Syed Shah Hassan Mohammed Shamsul Haq Qadri is his son, disciple khalifa and the grandson of Hazrath-E-Mousoof. Hazrath-E-Ameerul Haque Badshah Qadri reached the heavenly abode in February 1965, after serving the people of Mysore province and south India. He had the spiritual power of performing miracles (Karamat). An Islamic school by the name Al-Jamiah-Haqqania-Al-Arebia Islamia was founded by him. By the grace of Allah, many youths became Hafiz Qaris and Ulemas. 

 

 

 

His eldest son Hazrath Moulana Mufti Syed Shah Hassan Mohammed Shamsul Haque Al Hasni-Val-Hussaini Al Qadri had ascended the seat and has obtained qilafath from his father. He is successfully continuing the missionary zeal of his ancestors and fathers and has followers not only in India but also in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Darus-Salam, Gulf Countries, U.S.A., Europe, etc. 

 

 

 

Hence he is the 33rd direct descendent of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) and 19th descendent of Hazrath Mehboob-E-Subhani Qutub-E-Rabbani Miran Mohiuddin Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (R.A.) of Baghdad.  

 

 

 

He is a spiritual and religious head and leader of Islam. He is also a great scholar in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, English, etc. He is a good speaker and writer, who is highly learned. He has given many fatwas (Religious Writs) to the Muslim Community. Muslim leaders approach him for confirmation of any doubts about Islam. Non-Muslims also visit Moulana to know more about Islam and many of the non-Muslims have also embraced Islam upon his hand after meeting him.  

 

 

 

He is Chief Mufti of Karnataka State (Sunni Sector) and also Chief Qazi at present. He is Sajjada Nasheen (Naqeebul-Ashraaf) of Ziara-E-Hazrath Lakka Shah Aqlia Baba (R.A.) and Ziara-E-Hazrath Qutbul Aqtab Awlia Baba (R.A.) situated in Bangalore. He is also a registered medical practitioner (Unani medicine) and has treated many distressed patients in need. 

 

 

 

He is the president of : 

  • All India Jami-a-tussufia Southern Zone (regd.) for six states 

 

  • i.e. Goa, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhara, Pondicherry, States 

  • All India Sunni Jami-a-tul Ulamah (Regd.) Karnataka State 

  • Central Meelad-un-nabi Committee, Bangalore 

 

He is the vice-president of Sunni Scholar’s Organisations of India (regd.), Bangalore.  

 

 

 

He is the founder and chairman of All Karnataka State Sunni Educational Trust (regd.) and Islamic Research Centre, Bangalore, India. He is, at present, the Principal of Haqqaniah Arabic and Persian Institute, Bangalore, India. In total, he is an absolute social worker serving the Muslim Community. His sole aim is to preach Islam and Sufism.
